To well perform the work of collecting, standardizing and safely preserving data on natural resources and the environment to serve state management and meet socio-economic development requirements. Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to collect data on natural resources and environment in 2020 in the entire province.

Building a national geospatial data infrastructure is an important content of the Law on Surveying and Mapping. This is also considered one of the key tasks that the Vietnam Department of Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information is focusing on implementing in 2021.
