The licensing of surveying and mapping activities to organizations is carried out in accordance with procedures that have been publicly posted on the Ministry's online public service portal, contributing to gradually socializing a number of organizations. Last year, the Department also licensed surveying and mapping activities to 218 organizations; issued practice certificates to 68 individuals and just held an exam to consider granting a Class I surveying and mapping practice certificate in 2023 on November 25, 2023. Regarding investment projects, Mr. Hoang Ngoc Huy also said that in 2023, the Department will complete the project "Investment in building a national geographic database to serve the construction of geospatial data infrastructure". National Geographic and E-Government" with the product being a national geographic database at scales of 1:25,000, 1:50,000, 1:100,000; 1:250,000, 1:500,000, 1:1,000,000 have been handed over and provided by the Department to ministries, branches and 63 provinces and centrally run cities to serve the direction and administration of the Prime Minister, regional planning, provincial planning, specialized planning, socio-economic development, digital infrastructure construction, digital transformation.

The Department also organized the opening of a training course on using specialized software to build, manage and operate the national geographic database at 63 bridge points in the form of online training via the E-Learning platform. and more than 3,000 students are managers and technical staff of ministries, branches, localities and research institutes across the country. At the same time, organize the construction of a system of century-old altitude markers, repair and supplement the network of grade I and II altitude markers, and conduct altitude measurements in the cities of Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Da Nang.
